Made and Remade By Others

This is another reason why it’s futile to make decisions based on what others think or may think. Today it feels like people will approve, but tomorrow it’ll feel like people disapprove. In a couple of days, it’ll feel like people don’t even care.

You can never control how others perceive you or judge you, partly because most people can’t even control their own perceptions or judgments.

They will make you as they do. They will remake you as they do. They will draw upon whichever evidence fits their models of reality. Why fight it? The battle is not with them. Nor even is the battle within yourself. There is no battle; there is only remaking (i.e. creation).
